The writing style we are looking for:

One of Italy’s classiest townhouse hotels, J.K. Place has been much imitated, but few of the copies match the warm, suave, elegant original.

The rooms derive much of their charm from the no-expenses-spared quality of the materials used, including antique fireplaces and original framed fashion-house sketches.

If the décor nods, in parts, towards the Orient, the food looks more to Manhattan, with a range of burgers, club sandwiches, and main-course salads,

backed up by a trusty range of Italian stalwarts like penne alla putanesca or veal fillet. This is a place that lends itself to cocktails – just as well as they’re excellent.

The buffet breakfast is full of healthy fruit and home-baked goodies.

This haven of luxury and elegance aims to recreate a Milanese residence of the early 20th century, with mellow pastel-colored walls and two leafy courtyards

– a typical feature of Milanese architecture – providing a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of central Milan.

Here and there, Oriental-inspired details (silk fabrics; doorknobs resembling gongs) echo the hotel group’s Far Eastern heritage.

The bar’s bold black and white design adds a vibrant stylish touch, lending the interiors a modish contemporary feel.

Combining the best of Eastern and Western therapies, the elegant spa incorporates the five key elements of Feng Shui philosophy including wood,

fire and water (a water fountain at the spa entrance immediately creates a soothing environment). Holistic treatments are excellent,

developed with leading Chinese Medicine specialists and aromatherapy experts. There are six treatment rooms including the Spa Suite,

two couple suites, and one dedicated Thai massage room.

Built in the style of a Twenties Chicago skyscraper, the hotel exudes Art Deco grandeur – with elegant facade, magnificent reception, bronze doors,

neoclassical stairway – while at the same time evincing cool modernity in the form of contemporary artworks, slick fixtures and fittings and comfortable sofas.
