As you arrive at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, you will notice the timeless classic architecture and beautiful stained glass windows that house the 243 rooms and suites.

Breathtaking views as you enter The InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort

The grand staircase catches your eyes as you enter the resort building. Making your way down the terrace stairs past the flowing waters of the stunning fountains, you will be overcome with awe at the breathtaking beach lagoon that extends beyond your view with white sand and crystal blue water. Although you are only a short drive from the Central Business Department, you could not feel further removed from fast-paced city life, and you can truly relax in pure luxury.

Three private balconies, 10 seat dining room table, private spa, soaking bath and more

If you really like treating yourself, the Manor Suite is the only way to go.

At sunrise and sunset, you can take in the views of the kangaroos hopping through the resort grounds and the wild birds in the trees from your balcony while enjoying a fresh cocktail.

Not only can you unwind on one of your three private balconies, you can enjoy a glass of wine from your own fully stocked bar in front of the fireplace in the luxurious lounge, or have dinner at the magnificent 10 seat dining room table. The oversized bathroom is something to be marveled at with a private spa and soaking bath. The Manor Suite starts at $700 per night.

Queenslander Suite and the Homestead Suite

The Queenslander Suite from $310 per night is also an option that you could easily take pleasure in – the sunny lounge is the perfect place for you to enjoy some down time after lunch, and you will get the benefits of priority check-in and check-out, making your stay more pleasant. If you are looking for style, with a smaller price tag, you can be enveloped by the Homestead Suite for $275 per night, which includes two private balconies where you can enjoy views of the lush gardens and marina views, a separate dining room and lounge, a double vanity bathroom, not to mention the large walk-in closet and dressing room.

Garden view, lagoon pool view, and marina view room options

When you enter your room, you will instantly feel the tranquility of a resort getaway in the manner in which the room has been laid out. It is stylish and modern, while still maintaining a warm, welcoming and comfortable feel. You can choose from three different room options from $170 a night – garden view, lagoon pool view, and marina view – and can soak in your chosen view from your own designated balcony.

Solid timber sleigh beds with feather duvets invite you to sink into their comfort, wooden flooring, and a flat screen television will make you feel like this is your home away from home, while your en-suite bathroom boasts a deep bathtub and a separate shower. If you would like to share some photos on social media or keep in touch with friends, there is wireless internet available.

You will find no shortage of fine dining options at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort. You will love the options that are available. The Fireplace Restaurant where the chefs prepare your food in front of your eyes has a warm and inviting feeling, enveloped by the stone floors and beautiful big windows that look out over the resort grounds.

The Cove Café is the epitome of modern, stylish bakeries where you will find a spectacular array of hot and cold gourmet breakfast foods served buffet style, you will never be lacking for choices.

If you would prefer to enjoy your breakfast on your private balcony, room service is at your beck and call for all of your needs.

When looking for a slightly more relaxed dining experience, you can savor lighter meals including delectable wagyu beef burgers, tantalizing chicken club sandwiches, and refreshing salads at the Verandah Bar while taking in the flourishing tropical gardens and fountain displays which you can easily view from your enveloping chair through the wrap around windows in the back.

If you are a fan of whiskey, the Verandah bar has over 50 different whiskeys available for you to try.
You can also enjoy a cocktail and snacks at the Pool House which has a poolside menu and full wait staff that allow you to continue enjoying your sunbathing while dining by the lagoon pool with its tropical trees.

You will notice that there is a wide variety of options available, including swimming, tennis, volleyball, a fitness studio, flyboarding, boat trips and much more.

The Gold Coast Theme Parks are a short 15-minute drive away from the resort, and you are just a short walk away from the Marine Village where you can enjoy restaurants, boutique stores, and quaint cafes along the water edge.

If you enjoy golf, The Palms Golf Course is in close proximity to the resort and is internationally renowned as one of Australia’s premier golf courses, which means you will have a truly exclusive experience playing a round of golf at this wonderful course.

As you will notice, there are more adults around than children, but kids are catered for at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort with a multitude of activities. If you bring your own children, you will be excited to know that kids aged 4 – 12 can enjoy the 3-hour Planet Trekkers Kids Club which offers activities such as torch safaris, golf buggy tours, and indoor games. If you fancy going to a fun show with your older children, you will love the Matt Hollywood magic show live every weekend.

A spa day out

If you would prefer to have a luxury spa day, you will be spoiled for choice at the Champions Hair, Beauty and Nail Spa, located in the Marine Village surrounded by the serene harbor waters.

As you enter this palace of serenity and see the earthy tones used in the décor, you will instantly feel more calm and peaceful, and comfort abounds with the plush leather chairs and comfortable facial beds that you can sink into and relax.
